Vaccinations and Worming:

It is the owner’s responsibility to ensure the pet is vaccinated and wormed. It’s our recommendation that puppies have received their C5 vaccination 10 days prior to attending the salon.

Matting:

Fur so Fetch holds no responsibility to any nicks, cuts, rashes, hematomas, or issues caused by removing matting. after removing matting, it is not uncommon to find pre-existing conditions such as hot spots, sores, and other skin issues.

There is a chance your pet’s skin may become irritated from clipping close to skin due to matting, shaving off tightly matted ears may cause hematomas, and as dogs’ skin is so thin it could be accidently nicked or cut in the process.

The procedure takes extreme care and extra time to do this safely, due to this there will be an additional charge depending on the severity of the matting.

Safety and welfare:

Grooming can be a stressful experience for some pets, to help us ensure the welfare of the pet, the owner (or authorised person) must inform us of the following:

• If the pet has a heart condition or pre-existing medical condition, illness, or injury.

• If the pet is recovering from a recent surgery

• If the pet is under any form of sedation. If sedation is required, the customer will be referred to a vet clinic. The service will be refused or ceased if the service is deemed a risk to the pet or pet’s health.

Animal safety:

We encourage an open salon policy to allow pets to socialise, stretch and play. Owners should notify us if they would like their pet isolated from other animals in the salon. At the discretion of the salon pets may be crated, tethered, or separated for protection of themselves and other pets in the salon. Pets that display aggression towards the groomer or other dogs will be separated and muzzles used if deemed necessary. Owners will be called to collect their pet if they present a danger to us, other animals, or themselves.

There will be an extra fee charged for difficult or aggressive dogs, as this takes more time, patients, and skills to complete the groom.

 Health:

In the unlikely event that emergency veterinary treatment is required which has an imminent impact on a pet’s health, the owner gives consent for this establishment to seek treatment for the pet at the closest local veterinary clinic. The owner will be contacted as soon as possible to advise of any incident or condition noticed or occurring during the service. The service will not be completed until either; the owner is contacted and permission to continue is granted or consent is obtained and recorded for veterinary assessment, with the owners aware of any costs that may be involved. We will not be liable of any vet related costs due to health issues arising from any pre-existing medical conditions.

No shows and late cancelations:

Any rescheduling or cancellations made within 24 hours of appointment time incur a 50% fee of grooming cost. Any same day cancellations or no shows will incur full fees to be made immediately & no further bookings will be booked untill payment is made.

Late pick up fee:

Fur so Fetch closes at 4pm, if pick up is after closing time there will be a late pick-up fee added to the booking. The late pick-up fee is calculated at $15 per 15 minutes. Fee is waived if we are running behind.
